Expert elicitation on India's renewable future

Expert elicitation is the synthesis of opinions of experts on a subject where there is uncertainty due to insufficient data or when such data is unattainable because of physical constraints or lack of resources. India’s ambitious goals of 175 GW renewables by 2022 and 40% renewables in the electricity sector by 2030 (proposed for the Intended Nationally Determined Contributions under the UNFCCC) have a high degree of uncertainty associated with them. This project conducts a survey of experts in order to synthesise their collective wisdom and attempt to quantify these uncertainties.

This project is a part of the research being conducted for the project Facilitating the target of 100 GW Solar by 2022, funded by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.
